Malaysia: Thean Hou Temple

My sister and I had an amazing race experience in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Why “amazing race?” Well, we didn’t have much time. We only had three days. I personally like the mode of transportation since there are free buses, and train stations everywhere. Tic-toc-tic-toc!

We had a hard time finding Thean Hou Temple. We had a race with the two Indians. My sister and I got lost first. We climbed a different hill. The couple got lost next. They went to a school instead of the temple. Anyway, a few minutes after my sister and I arrived at the temple, we also saw the couple finally reached the finish line. This imaginary race kept us from not giving up. Also, thanks to the Chinese whom we met along the way. They were very helpful.

We went to Thean hou temple. It was located in Robson Hill. We actually didn’t know where to find it. But, takes to Google and bloggers, we managed to get directions. We got there by train. The temple was being prepared for the Chinese New Year. You can see bird’s eye view of the city.

It’s like an altar. Visitors also pray here.

We passed by this temple on our way to Robson Hill. Based on my observation, this place is like the Chinatown of Malaysia since there are many Chinese temples, restaurants,  and schools located here.

Some of my pictures were kinda gloomy since it started to rain a little. Also, it was around 6 pm I think. Too bad we didn’t stay to see the night view. Well, maybe next time.
